Mostly these days, we've been laying low and mounting our attack for the Schubas record release shows (Sat. 5/8, details below). But we are playing two interesting gigs this weekend, featuring The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir's Jay Santana, sitting in on drums. Tonight, we'll return to The Livery, Benton Harbor's finest brewery. We had an all-out blast on our last visit there and we don't expect this to be any different. We're playing two 45 min. sets, beginning at 8pm (for just $8). Then tomorrow, Saturday, we'll be back in Chicago playing a FREE set at the grand opening of Chicago's first Columbia Sportswear store (830 N. Michigan Avenue). I'm not sure what it was about Canasta that said "outerwear" to the folks behind this event... but with a nice paycheck and the outside chance of scoring some free polar fleece, who are we to argue? Join us if you're free. Otherwise, the music above oughtta tide you over for another week. Talk to ya in seven!
